Booking a Wedding Car in Pakistan: A Practical Guide

Wedding transport in Pakistan is three separate jobs that get booked as one: the groom's car, the family convoy, and the baraat. Treating them as one booking is how families end up with a beautiful car and thirty guests without a ride.

The groom's car

This is the photographed vehicle, so it is chosen on appearance. The reliable choices:

  • [Honda Civic](/fleet/honda-civic) — the most photogenic sedan available here. Low, wide, modern. The default groom's car in the twin cities.
  • [Toyota Land Cruiser](/fleet/toyota-land-cruiser) in white — reads as presence and authority, and sits high enough for the crowd around it.
  • [Corolla Altis Grande](/fleet/toyota-corolla-altis-grande) — the safe, smart, slightly more affordable choice.
  • [MG HS](/fleet/mg-hs) — increasingly popular, panoramic roof, and available in matched pairs.

Book it detailed and decorated, and confirm the exact arrival time and gate rather than a general window. Photographers work to a schedule and the car is in the frame.

Decoration

Floral dressing is a third-party cost, arranged through decorators. Approve a design and a price in advance, and have the car arrive already dressed rather than being decorated in a hotel car park while guests watch.

  • Fresh flowers wilt. For a summer function, dressing happens as late as practical.
  • Tape and wire mark paint. Reputable decorators use proper mounts; ask.
  • If you want a specific colour scheme, say so a week ahead, not on the morning.

The convoy

Convoys look deliberate or accidental, and matched vehicles are the difference. Two identical MG HS or two Corolla Grandes photograph as a convoy; a Civic, a Vitz and someone's uncle's Cultus photograph as a car park. Beyond two identical units, give real notice — a matched pair is easy, a matched four is scheduling.

Practical convoy points:

  • Brief every driver on the route and the order they drive in.
  • Traffic separates convoys. Agree a regroup point rather than assuming.
  • One vehicle should carry the elderly relatives, and it should be the comfortable one.

The baraat

This is a seating-capacity problem. A Hiace takes 13 and costs less per seat than anything else; two vans handle most baraats. Count the actual number of people who need transport, add 15%, and book against that. The most common wedding transport failure is a group larger than the seats booked.

Timings, and the truth about them

Pakistani functions run late. Every operator knows this and the good ones price for it rather than pretending otherwise. Tell us the realistic plan — if the nikah is scheduled for 7pm and will start at 9pm, say so — and we build the hours in. What goes wrong is a driver booked until 11pm on a function that ends at 2am.

Book a standby vehicle for a large function. The movement nobody planned — a relative to the airport, a forgotten item across town — happens at every single wedding.

When to book

For the October to March season, three to four weeks minimum. Land Cruisers and matched pairs go first, and the last two weeks before a popular date are effectively sold out. A December wedding booked in November is a compromise.

A checklist

  • Groom's car chosen, decoration design and price approved
  • Exact arrival time and gate confirmed with the driver
  • Convoy vehicles matched, order and route briefed
  • Baraat seats counted honestly, plus 15%
  • Hours booked against the real end time, not the printed one
  • Standby vehicle held
  • One family member as the single point of contact on the day

See wedding car rental for what we include, or event transport for functions above about 100 guests.
