Abbottabad is an easy, frequent trip from the twin cities: family visits, school and college runs, weddings and the start of the road to the Galiyat and Naran.
The drive
The Hazara Motorway (M-15) has cut the journey to well under two hours. From the twin cities you join it near Burhan, pass Haripur and Havelian, and arrive at Abbottabad's southern edge. In town, Mansehra Road and the cantonment can be slow at school times.
Typical bookings
- Day returns — a visit or appointment with the driver waiting.
- Wedding days — a car for the bride's or groom's family and a Hiace for guests.
- The Galiyat loop — on to Nathia Gali and back via Murree.
Which car
A sedan suits most trips. Choose an SUV if you plan to continue to Thandiani or the Galiyat in winter.
