Nathia Gali is where people go when they want the hills without Murree's crowds. It sits at about 2,500 m among pine forest, with the best walking in the Galiyat.
The route
Take the Murree Expressway, skirt Murree town, and continue on the Galiyat road through Bhurban, Ayubia and Dunga Gali. You can return the same way, or make a loop by descending to Abbottabad and taking the Hazara Motorway back — no queue twice.
What to do
- Pipeline Track — an easy, level 4 km walk from Dunga Gali to Ayubia.
- Mukshpuri and Miranjani — proper hikes with views to Nanga Parbat on a clear day.
- Ayubia chairlift and the pine-forest picnic spots.
Which car
In summer a sedan is fine. From December to March choose an SUV: the Galiyat road is narrower and higher than the Murree Expressway, and snow sticks longer.
Day trip or overnight
A day trip works if you leave early. An overnight stay — or two — is the better way to enjoy the walks. The driver's lodging is included in your written quote.
